I work exclusively digital using top of the line digital cameras. I photograph digitally using raw format which allows me to capture the most digital information available to me as a photographer. Shadow and highlight detail preserved in ways that cannot be when using jpg or a compressed digital file format.

Often, we are hired as a St Louis event photographer. That is where I am hired to photograph a special corporate or business occurrence like an awards dinner, annual company party, annual conference, ground breakings and more. I work as a photojournalist would, documenting what happens in an unobtrusive style with group shots and detail pictures/signage images mixed in. It is very important to me to not distract from your company’s event as I work to photograph it.

Often in product photography, a clean, well lit background looks best since it creates a focus on the object itself. The infinity curve enables our photographer to shoot products against an endless background that reveals no horizon in the back, only a clean and elegant view.

The Interview Look
One of the most common questions we get before our shoots is, “What do I wear?” There really aren’t any defined rules here. It’s best to avoid super busy patterns because they can play tricks with the camera. Solid, bold colors are always a great choice. Unless you’re in a studio with big lights, heavy powder make-up isn’t generally necessary. If you are standing for your interview, try to keep your feet planted. I say that, but you also want to feel natural. If you talk with your hands and tend to gesture, you should feel free to do so during your interview. In fact, we’re always looking for opportunities for you to show us what you’re speaking about. If you’re sitting for your interview, try not to swivel in your chair. The viewers will often only see your head and shoulders, so swiveling can look awkward. Despite the lights, camera and all the action, take a deep breath and just be yourself.
